From Grassroots Advocacy to Global Architecture

Adeola ‘Addy’ Durodola’s story is not one of sudden emergence, but of an unbroken, 18-year commitment to systemic equity and social transformation. Tracking a singular trajectory from her days as a teenage advocate to her tenure as a global executive, she has spent nearly two decades bridging the gap between high-level policy and real-world, community-led execution.

Her career is defined by its scale. As the former CEO of United Way Nigeria, Adeola successfully activated and structured localized volunteer leadership frameworks across 22 states, building resilient local infrastructure capable of driving continuous national change. Today, as a PhD Candidate in Social Work at Morgan State University, she synthesizes years of field-tested leadership with rigorous academic inquiry, analyzing structural support frameworks, social policy, and the deep-seated gender inequalities that impact marginalized populations.

Adeola does not just participate in global development; she funds, architects, and safeguards its future. Having directed, monitored, and scale-verified over $24 million in cumulative grant portfolios alongside institutions like USAID, the U.S. Department of State, and the World Bank, her work stands as concrete proof that complex social problems can be solved with strategic precision, operational excellence, and uncompromising empathy.

Leading change on every front.

 HER STORIES

Purpose-driven.

Adeola leads with a combination of strategic vision, unflinching advocacy, and genuine human warmth. As the former CEO of United Way Nigeria, she anchored operations across 22 states, scaling critical community infrastructure and directing over $24 million in cumulative global grant portfolios alongside partners like USAID and the World Bank with uncompromising excellence. But Adeola has never been just her title; she is a continuous consumer of music used for cognitive focus, a fashion and perfume enthusiast who views personal expression as a form of art, and a PhD Candidate in Social Work at Morgan State University dedicated to unpacking structural equity. She is a storyteller who believes that the personal is always structural, and that real impact requires both intellectual rigor and deep empathy. Ultimately, she shows up fully — in boardrooms and classrooms, at global summits and grassroots communities — and invites the world to do the same.
